Kimi Raikkonen wins in Malaysia

Kimi Raikkonen comes back after not finishing in Australia to win the Malaysian Grand Prix. Running in second, Felipe Massa spun out towards the end of the race. Heikki Kovalainen of McLaren Mercedes and Robert Kubica of BMW Sauber finished second and third respectively.

Lewis Hamilton wins Down Under

Lewis Hamilton wins the Australian Grand Prix. Both Ferrari's of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa did not finish due to mechanical problems. Reubens Barrichello finished sixth, only to be disqualified for running the red light in the pit lane.

It was a great first race of the 2008 season. Lots of action, lots of spinning and several cars did not finish.

Honda is really taking this green thing seriously

I'm all for saving the Earth and protecting our environment but those puke green uniforms that the Honda Racing F1 team have to go. Looks like I'll skip buying this year's Honda Racing F1 team merchandise.

Formula 1 2008 Season about to start

The 2008 Formula 1 season is set to begin in a couple of days. My early prediction is that Kimi Raikkonen will repeat as Champion and Ferrari winning the Constructor's Title. Lewis Hamilton will be a close second. I think BMW Sauber will be strong as well. Honda, under Ross Brawn's leadership, should improve over last year but they still have some to go before they regain their past 2006 form. Fernando Alonso for all his whining and bitching last year, won't be a factor in the mid-field Renault, at least during the early part of the season. With some of the new rules, specifically no traction control, it should be another exciting and interesting season.
