Intel Pentium D Processor 920, 1GB DDR2 memory, 250GB hard drive, nVidia 6800GT PCIe video card, DVD±RW drive, DVD ROM drive... this machine is some serious piece of hardware. Now if I can figure out how to connect/integrate Media Center PC to my DirecTV HD box, we'll be in good shape for the start of the F1 season.
Spiderman dons the black Symbiote suit!!! :o This pretty much confirms the current/future character of Eddie Brock/Venom, who I think will play him - Tropher Grace and the future storyline of the rest of the series.
This teaser gives us some hints as to the story in Spider-Man 3. From the photo, Spiderman looks to be like a man beaten down. Tried, sad, upset but knowing that "with great power comes great responsibility." Spider-Man 3 may take a dark, dark turn.
According to a recent Merrill Lynch report, the launch of the much anticipated SONY Playstation 3 may be delayed until 2007. The reason - the PS3 is prohibitively expensive to manufacture. Industry analysts believe that each PS3 unit will cost $900 to produce initially due to the use of technology that is so new and unique to the next generation Playstation. The Cell processor, NVIDIA RSX GPU, Blu-Ray drive and unique XDR memory add up to $700 alone.
The XBOX 360 costs Microsoft a reported $715 to produce, retailing for $400 each. To stay competitive with Microsoft, SONY has to sell the PS3 for no more than $500, at a loss of $400 per unit. If SONY delays the launch into 2007, manufacturing costs may come down as much of this newest technology will become more standardized.
Although SONY is denying this report by ML and is still claiming that the PS3 will be launched this Spring, according to Reuters, their silence and vagueness on this issue isn't supporting their claim. If the PS3 is due for a Spring launch, there still hasn't been any official announcement on price and pre-orders.
This very bad news for SONY and those of us who are holding out for the PS3 and opting not to buy the XBOX 360 YET. Microsoft may have a year or more lead on SONY in the next generation console wars. The PS3 must be that much better if it is to regain lost ground to the XBOX 360. I will still be holding more breathe... but not until I turn blue.
A new section of our site is now live, well kinda... its being live for a week now actually. Anyways - wallpapers of our cars. The first of course, features our 2002 Honda S2000. There will be more to come!
Its comedic open season on VP Dick Cheney after he accidently shot his friend, Harry Whittington, in a hunting accident last Saturday.
Among all the jokes, my favorite comes from David Letterman...
Good news, ladies and gentlemen, we have finally located weapons of mass destruction: It's Dick Cheney.
HAHAHAHA
By the way, I don't understand what all the fuss is about. OK he waited a day to inform the media after the accident. So what? What is more important? Attending to your friend's well being or telling the reporters?
The "performance jewel" of the Honda lineup has been the bane of at least three people who have had their cars' seats stolen in the past month, police reports show.
The sleek, racing-style seats of the Honda S2000 are hot commodities because they are interchangeable with other Honda models such as the Civic or Acura Integra, police said.
It is unclear if the cases are connected or where the stolen seats are being sold or traded, police said, adding that thieves tend to go for convertibles because their tops can be slashed without setting off an alarm.
Thieves have been brazen during thefts at two dealerships and a gated community parking lot, all within a mile's radius around the 3000 block of South Federal Highway.
Six seats from three S2000 models at the Rick Case Honda dealership in Davie also were stolen recently, manager Alex Pou said.
The latest victim in Delray Beach was mortgage broker Jason Cacciatore, 28, who parked his 2006 model under the lights and went to sleep about 11 p.m. Sunday, he said. By 10 a.m. Monday, Cacciatore discovered his roof slashed and his seats -- at about $3,500 each -- missing.
"I'm going to be back there again soon and I have no prevention unless I get a garage for $125 a month 100 yards away," Cacciatore said. "If you think about South Florida, there's a large cult following taking Civics and souping them up as a high-performance vehicle."
With damaged lights from Hurricane Wilma, Presidential Auto Leasing and Sales' S2000 was a sitting duck. On the night of Jan. 11, thieves slit the cover and stole the seats, estimated at $2,500 wholesale, company president Jim Guistolisi said.
Lacking identification numbers, the seats are difficult or impossible to trace, police and Honda spokeswoman Sara Pines said.
The seats aren't that easy to remove because they're attached in multiple positions to the base track, Pines said. Honda was unaware of any problems of seat theft to the S2000, a model that debuted in 2000 as a "throwback to our racing heritage," she added.
Honda doesn't recommend interchanging seats, Pines said, because they are made specifically for a model of car and its airbag sensors. Pines said a hard top may be a good idea for those who feel they are in high-risk areas. But don't tell that to Richard Laliberte.
Laliberte, 55, of Boca Raton, brought his hard-top 2000 model to Sherwood Honda to have its clutch repaired Jan. 7. It was left in the service center and by Jan. 9, workers discovered the seats were missing, Laliberte said, adding that the doors may have been left unlocked. Overall, Laliberte said he is frustrated that Honda has no way to track the seats.
"It's like stealing a pack of Twinkies," he said. "Just because you have a pack of Twinkies in your possession doesn't mean you stole them."
This disgusts me to no end. Why do these little kids with their Civics and Accords need to put S2000 seats in their economy cars in the first place? I laugh when I see S2000 seats in a Civic and BMW-like angel eye headlights on an Accord. Pretending that you have something that you really don't isn't cool, its retarded. Secondly, OK so you've decided to go defy all logic and get some racing seats for your Civic, then why steal them? Didn't Mommy and Daddy teach you that stealing is a no no? Don't these kids have any sense of right and wrong or moral values? When I want something, I go and buy it with my hard earned money not go to the nearest parking lot, search for a S2000, follow the owner home and steal his seats.
I know S2000 owners who are victims of seat theft and its really sad to see other owners struggle with this problem. Fortunately I live in a secure, gated community with security cameras and have a garage where my baby sleeps but for those that aren't as fortunate, there is really no real solution to this epidemic, other than McGard seat locks and a 2-way alarm system. Even then, you're still looking at a slashed top ($3,000) and potential damage to the expensive interior. Honda, as a manufacturer, needs to do more to protect the owners of its halo car. The design of the seat brackets need to be vastly changed so that it cannot be just fitted onto a Civic or Accord or Integra (RSX) without extensive modification. Honda should then announce a recall, replacing all S2000 seats with the new design for all owners. Unfortunately, the reality is that this will most likely never happen but one can dream right? Afterall Honda's slogan is "The Power of Dreams."
The opening ceremony of the Turino Games was by far the best ceremony I've ever seen. Turino has a rich automotive history, especially being that Fiat, which owns Ferrari, was founded in Turino in 1899. So in order to celebrate their automotive past and ties to Fiat/Ferrari, it was only appropriate to show off a Ferrari in the opening ceremony.
This is a Ferrari F2005 Formula 1 race car driven by Ferrari team test driver Luca Badoer in Turino livery. Turn up the volume as you listen to the Ferrari V10 engine sounds vibrate off the walls of Stadio Olimpico. Stunning!
The Olympic Games are one of my favorite sporting events to watch. From the opening ceremony, the lighting of the torch to its various athletes and competitions, the Olympics represent true competition, peace and goodwill among the entire human race. No other event can bring so many men and women from so many countries to a single stage.
Turin, Italy is the site of the XX Olympic Winter Games.
Brief history lesson...
Torino, in Italian, means "little bull".
Turin was first founded by the Romans as a military camp in the first century BC. By 1861, it became the capital of Italy, only to lose it four years later to Florence and by 1870, the capital was again moved to Rome.
Turin is home to the automobile brands Fiat and Lancia.
Turin is probably most famous for its Shroud of Turin, which is a linen cloth believed to be used to wrap the body of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion. The Shroud itself bears the image of Jesus and his wounds that are consistent with a crucifixion. The Shroud is currently being kept in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin.
- 84 medals will be given over a period of 17 days.

- 10,000 journalists and media operators are expected to cover the Games.
- OMEGA is the official timekeeper of these Olympics and to celebrate "Great Moments in Time" OMEGA has released their special Olympic Collection, highlighted by the Speedmaster Broad Arrow Co-Axial Rattrapante, in which only 26 pieces will be produced. See OMEGA's Olympic Collection on their website.
One element that stands out thus far - the use modern design. Contemporary design has been extensively and tastefully implemented througout, as you can see with its website, emblem, medals, mascots, torch, Olympic village and various stadiums. I can't wait to watch the opening ceremony on HD-NBC tonight. Let the games of the XX Olympiad begin!
This is my final post on the Muslim cartoon backlash subject, I promise, unless WW3 breaks out because of it. That said, what does the violent reaction to the cartoons from millions of Muslims around the world really say about Islam as a religion? I've always held the belief that Islam, like Christianity, promotes peace and goodwill amongst mankind. While Islam is a very different religion then Catholicism, the message itself is quite similar, or so I thought.
Now I'm not so sure anymore. While the fundamental message of Islam remains the same, radicals and extremists from within have twisted Islam into a religion that promotes racism, ignorance, hypocrisy, arrogance and violence. Their rally cry has become "Death to Israel! Death to America!" Muslims refer to those of us that are not Muslim as infidels. Their leaders, Imans and Sheiks promotes violence by making statements such as, "We will defend our prophet with our blood, not our voices." They are quick to offend and insult anyone that does not share in their Islamic beliefs, while demanding that they be respected at the same time.
Hopefully some, still sane, Muslims will one day realize that terrorists like Osama bin Laden and even their leaders are giving Islam and Muslims a bad name. Hopefully one day, some will rise up in an internal revolt and cleanse themselves of those twisted radical extremists and bring Islam back into a positive light.
Top Gear, arguably the best automotive television show in all of human history, is back on Discovery Channel tonight! Heres the listing...
7PM - Ferrari's Million Dollar Supercar 8PM - Can You Parachute Into a Moving Car? 9PM - Flying Wig 10PM - Britain's Weirdest Car 11PM - Pagani Zonda in the French Riviera 12AM - Can You Parachute Into a Moving Car? 1AM - Flying Wig 2AM - Britain's Weirdest Car
The Muslim Cartoon row has reached new insane levels. Heres some up-to-date news this morning...
Mohammed Usman, Senior cleric of the Ulama Council, Afghanistan's top Islamic organization stated...
Islam says it's all right to demonstrate but not to resort to violence. This must stop. We condemn the cartoons but this does not justify violence. These rioters are defaming the name of Islam.
Finally someone in authority has some sanity and common sense. Now if he can only get the Imans to do the same, this cartoon row turned almost WW3 can end.
Meanwhile in Afghanistan, protesters attempt to storm a US military base in Qalat resulting in four deaths. I wondered if the four protesters who died are now disappointed that they are not met with 40 virgins in heaven? So much for common sense. If I was a protester, the last place that I would want to try to storm is a fortified US military base.
In Kabal, college students, aka terrorists in training, were shouting "Death to Danish! Death to Americans!" Pathetic.
Back home, President Bush is calling all nations to help end the insanity, saying...
I call upon the governments around the world to stop the violence, to be respectful, to protect property and protect the lives of innocent diplomats who are serving their countries overseas.
An Iranian newspaper has announced that it will be holding a competition for cartoons regarding Jews and the Holocaust. As I stated in my post "Muslim Hypocrisy", the Muslim people demand respect of their culture and religion but do not offer that same respect back to others of different cultures and religions.
Italian priest Andrea Santoro was shot and killed at the Santa Maria Catholic Church in Turkey. A witness stated that the gunman shouted, "God is great!" as he killed Father Santoro.
In Lebanon, protesters burned down the Danish embassy and stoned a Catholic Church.
And for what? Over a stupid cartoon? The insanity must stop before more innocent people are killed for nothing.
Super Bowl XL was a good game however it was plagued by bad officiating. It was as if the referees were biased against the Seahawks and wanted the Steelers to win. I counted three big plays that could have and should have gone the other way.
- A Seahawk TD at the end of the first quarter was taken away by a bogus offensive pass interference call. In the NFL, pushing off happens all the time. If there was any pass interference at all, it was very minor at best.
- The Roethlisberger TD run at the end of the first half should have been reversed. The ball never crossed the goal line. The closet referee to the play, the line judge, was going to spot the ball on the 1 when the other referee signaled TD.
- The holding penalty against Seattle on a pass play that could have resulted on having the ball on the 2 yard line and most possibly a TD, a FG for sure, at the end of the fourth quarter was complete bullshit.
Take away these bad calls and the score would have been 17-14 in favor of the Seahawks. Instead the score is 21-10 Steelers and the Seahawks were robbed.
As for the Super Bowl commercials... GM's Live Green, Go Yellow campaign is lame, FedEx's caveman was hilarious, Honda's Ridgeline spot was dumb, Budweiser's Clydesdale in training was cute, Michelob Amber's touch football shows that revenge can be a bitch (literally), the Pepsi ads were getting annoying and the GoDaddy chick was as hot as always.
Over the weekend, Muslim protests against the Jyllands-Posten cartoons have turned violent and deadly. Several Danish embassies, consulates and missions have been burned down throughout the Middle East, as protesters continue to call for violence and death against Denmark and all countries where the cartoons have been published. Four people have died and a dozen injured over cartoons.
It is ironic that Muslims are protesting these cartoons for its subject matter and claim to be a people of peace when they should also protest as vigorously against their own radicals from within. Bin Laden and his like are the cancer of the Muslim culture but sadly I don't see most Muslims condemning terrorism but whether embracing it and even calling for further attacks against us, the Western world. I see this as truly hypocritical and their actions only make the topic of these cartoons relevant. So while most Muslims are protesting and calling for the deaths for America and Europe now, where were they on September 12, 2001? Where were the protests against Osama bin Laden and al Queda? Maybe they were too busy praising Allah that day.
Another hypocritical issue relates to respect. While they demand that others respect their religion and culture, they do not respect Western culture or other religions, like Christianity. They do not want to be offended but will quickly offend others. I guess they haven't heard of the golden rule - "Do onto others as you would wish them do onto you."
While I understand that Muslims are offended by these drawings ridiculing their great prophet, it is absolutely pathetic that they are trying to start World War 3 over some fucking damn cartoons. Jyllands-Posten already offered its apologies, so get over it already.
Muslims worldwide are up in arms about a dozen Danish cartoons that depicts their Prophet Muhammed wearing a turban bomb and various other satirical cartoons poking fun of Muslims and Muhammed.
One of the cartoons and reported to be the most offensive one...
The Muslim reaction...
Now Muslims all around the world are calling for a protest of Danish products, threating those who publish the cartoons with violence and death, burning the Danish flag, calls for a jihad "holy war" against Denmark and all of Europe, chants for further attacks like the 7/7 London terrorist bombings and even requests to Bin Laden for "Denmark to be blown up."
The Muslim reaction is doing nothing but validating the subject matter of the cartoon. Muslims constantly burn our flags, insult us and our way of life, insult Christianity, condemn our government and President, call for the deaths of Americans and America and call all those who do not believe in Islam "infidels" but get their panties in knots by some silly, mildly offensive cartoons? Get a grip and lighten up people, its a fucking damn cartoon. Its not like Denmark and Europe bombed Mecca.
Kudos to Denmark for refusing to apologize and other European nations for republishing the cartoons in their media. These cartoons are an expression of freedom of speech and democracy.
INGS+1 just released its kit for the new second-generation Lexus IS. Upon close inspection, it looks like this IS350 has been lowered on ZEAL coilovers, features an Endless big brake upgrade and 19" Volk Racing ProgressivME wheels. Although the front spoiler design is questionable, it looks pretty good overall.
Answer the questionaire from this website and find out which sports car are you.
I'm a Honda S2000!
You live on the edge, and you live for the adrenaline rush. You don't need luxuries, snob appeal, or superfluous gadgets. You put your top down, get your motor revving, and take all the curves that life throws at you at full speed. So what if you spin out occasionally?
We've heard a lot about the Steelers recently. The Steelers this, the Steelers that, second year QB Big Ben Roethlisberger, Jerome Bettis at the end of a long and successful career and veteran coach Bill Cowher who has yet to win the big game. Have we forgotten about the other team? You know, that other team, which happen to have the best record in the NFC, the Seattle Seahawks. What about Matt Hasselbeck, who had a 98.2 QB rating this season or NFL MVP, Shaun Alexander, who rushed to a new NFL record 28 TDs this season? On paper, the Seahawks are a better team but are going into the SuperBowl as underdogs somehow. Its like everyone wants and expects the Steelers to win. I'm a fan of the Dolphins and 49ers so I don't really care who wins but I like an underdog and SuperBowl commercials.
