Bumblebee will be a... GASP... Camaro?

The new Transformers live action movie is due out more than a year from now but there is already rumors circulating the world wide web of Bumblebee being a Camaro, Starscream bieng a F-22 Raptor, Megatron being a tank and Optimus Prime being a firetruck. What the fuck? Optimus a firetruck?!?! While I understand that there may be licensing agreements involved, as in Bumblebee's case and VW not allowing using its Beetle in this type of movie, and the need to modernize a 1980's cartoon, I see no reason why Optimus can't be a freightliner. Of course these are all rumors and there are conflicting reports on other websites that Optimus will be, in fact, an 18 wheeler freightliner semi-truck.
